Sigma CEO Confirmed Again They will Make E-mount and FE mount Lenses !

In a recently interview with Sigma’s CEO Kazuto Yamaki by Sigma Canada,  Kazuto Yamaki said again that they will making Sigma lenses for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras and FE mount mirrorless cameras. He didn’t told us about whether new Sigma FE lenses will have new designs or same old design as Canon/Nikon mount lenses.

You can download this firmware here. This firmware update allows compatibility with the SIGMA 14mm F1.8 DG HSM | Art, SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Art, Cine Lens 14mm T2 FF EF mount and 135mm T2 FF EF mount from FF High Speed Prime Line.

Dan Watson has tested the a $6,000 dollar combo: Sony Alpha a9 w/ Sigma 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art lens using MC-11 adapter. From the video above, we see that the autofocus on Sony Alpha a9 is really good, and a9 eye’s tracking is also works great.
