The fraudster for whatever reason did not ship to Canada which fortunately prevented me from getting scammed. However, it’s safe to say that otherwise I would have been in the same boat as the other 135 buyers. In the past I have been scammed on Ebay on several occasions, and even when I’m trying to sell used items I frequently get buyers who try to screw me by sending me fake emails stating that I received payment through pay-pal.
Through these negative past experiences I now sell and buy used items on craigslist which admittedly may not have the same selection but at least I have somewhat better control what happens to my money and I don’t have to pay a commission fee.

E-Bay will not let me open a case, it tells me:” We’re sorry there’s an issue with this purchase.
Unfortunately, PayPal reports that we can’t open a case for this
item. You can try to work out this problem by contacting the seller. “So I opened a case with PayPal who claims the charge has not processed but it has, I still have not heard from them. I reported and refused the charge to my credit card by reporting it as fraudulent. This is the first time some like this happens to me on E-Bay…
