After the announcement of new Sony a7R IV (B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon) and RX100 VII (B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon), next Sony announcement is expected in late August, 2019. Rumors said that there will be two new APS-C mirrorless cameras to be announced in late August. Sony currently has a total of 3 new camera codes got registered at certification bodies, so we can expect at least 3 new camera to be announced in next several weeks. The new announced Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens and Sony FE 600mm f/4 GM OSS Lens now already shipping in US. The demand of both lenses are very high, currently out of stock everywhere. Only at Adorama shows these two lenses will be coming soon from their warehouse, shipping in next several days.
Sony currently has three new camera codes haven’t yet announced, according to Nokishita Camera, all these three cameras are E-mount mirrorless cameras. Now according to SAR, two cameras will be announced at the end of this month, and both are APS-C mirrorless cameras. The third camera will be a full frame mirrorless camera, to be announced in September/October, 2019.
According to a recently a7R IV (B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon) interview from Sony China by Chinese website Fengniao, Sony managers confirmed again that Sony a7S III is currently under development. Sony previous already confirmed that a7S III will beyond expectations. Sony currently has one high-end model WW942051 got registered, which means we may see a7S III announced in next 1-2 months.
We still have three unannounced Sony cameras got registered at certification body. All these three cameras could be announced within 1-2 months. Today Nokishita camera said all these three cameras could be interchangeable lens cameras, not compact cameras.
