Sony’s has just refreshed their RX100 series with new RX100 V compact camera (B&H Photo & Adorama & Amazon). Here is the High ISO comparison of Sony RX100 V with Canon G7 X Mark II, Panasonic LX100, and Sony RX100 IV.
Sony USA camera channel on Youtube has posted a sample video of recently announced Sony a6500 (B&H Photo, Adorama, Amazon) flagship APS-C mirrorless camera. The 4K movie above was shot with Sony Alpha a6500 and FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Amazon, B&H Photo, Adorama), E 18-110mm f/4G Power Zoom Lens, and other Sony FE lenses.

Previous rumors said that Zeiss will announce their Batis telephoto prime lens around Photokina 2016, for some reason, this lens is got delayed, we will not see this lens in 2016.
Samyang has already released two autofocus FE lens for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras. They are Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AF FE lens and Samyang 14mm f/2.8 AF FE lens. Both lenses are already in stock at B&H Photo Video.
Sony has just announced a new digital cine camera Sony PXW-FS7 II. Sony FS7 II is a flexible 4K camera system. Designed as a camera that is at home on productions as diverse as “Cinéma Vérité”-style documentaries, reality TV, commercial, and corporate applications. It features a Super 35mm sized sensor that allows you to capture images with cinematic depth of field. The camera incorporates a stronger locking E-mount that is fully compatible with E-Mount lenses, and supports all electronic connections. The locking mount reduces lens play, and allows you to use most 35mm lenses including PL, EF, Leica, and Nikon via optional adapters. This stronger E-mount is ideal for using heavier-long cine-zooms without the need for additional lens support.
At Photokina 2016 in an interview with Sigma’s CEO, he said Sigma currently is working on full frame E-mount lenses for Sony mirrorless cameras. Today, a source told us that first Sigma FE lens will coming sometime in 2017.
A new source today told us that replacement of Sony a7R II: Sony Alpha a7R III will be announced around Q2, 2017. The source also said a new mirrorless camera targeted for professional photographers will be coming first, could this camera be the long rumored Sony Alpha a9 or A-mount cameras. Sony recently registered a new camera code name “WW158299” in China MIIT, this could be the next camera from Sony.
