At Photokina 2018 press event, Sony announced that they will release 12 more native E-mount lenses in near future. The latest Sony E-mount lens is FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Lens (B&H Photo/Amazon/ Adorama/WEX/ParkCamera). And they will also add AI to next Sony cameras, and Eye AF to work on animals.

Despite that fast maximum aperture, Sony has created a remarkably small and light lens compared to its peers, with a weight of just 445 grams (15.7 ounces). Compare that to the Sigma 24mm F1.4 Art shown below, which is 50% heavier and considerably more bulky, albeit cheaper. Tomorrow, Sony will probably announce two new FE lenses: FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Lens and FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Lens. And after Photokina 2018, Sony will announce a7S III or a6700/a6800/a7000 before PhotoPlus EXPO in late October, 2018.
Voigtlander has just officially announced the new Color-Skopar 21mm f/3.5 Aspherical E-mount lens today. The Japanese price for this lens is 85,000 JPY, release date in October, 2018. US price hasn’t announced yet, stay tuned.
