Sony is expected to announce the long awaited Sony a9 II in late October, 2019. Just ahead of PhotoPlus EXPO on October 24-26th. The Sony a9 II will compete with Canon EOS-1D X Mark III and Nikon D6 with some game changer features.
The new announced Sony a6100, a6600, and E 16-55mm f/2.8 G Lens, E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS Lens now available for pre-order online. The Sony a6100 and E 16-55mm f/2.8 G Lens will be shipping in October, 2019. The Sony a6600 and E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS Lens will be shipping in November, 2019.
Not only are there all these announcements for APS-C, Sony is again updating its flagship a9 with new features. Firmware version 6.0 is due out in September, and will add Real-time Eye AF for Animals and Interval Shooting for Time Lapse. Both features are notable and it is very important to see that Sony is supporting its existing lineup of cameras, effectively making them a new camera with continuous firmware updates.
Sony today has officially announced two new APS-C camera bodies, expanding the mirrorless line giving creators more options for photos and 4K video. Both the Sony a6600 (B&H/Adorama/Amazon) and a6100 (B&H/Adorama/Amazon) have 24.2 megapixel image sensors, 4K video capability, built-in timelapse intervalometers, flip screens and microphone jacks.
