According to latest tweet by Sigma CEO Kazuto Yamaki, Sigma’s upcoming lens roadmap will mostly be DN series lenses exclusively designed for mirrorless cameras. Both for full frame and APS-C mirrorless cameras. This means we will soon see more mirrorless lenses exclusively designed for Sony E-mount.
Recently, Sigma UK has posted an interview with Sigma’s CEO Kazuto Yamaki. Sigma CEO confirmed that Sigma is currently working on FE 70-200mm f/2.8 DG DN Sports lens for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. And this lens will be announced soon when is ready.
Sigma UK has just announced that Sigma will attend CP+ 2020 in Japan during February 27th to March 1st. Sigma may announce some new lenses for Sony E-mount, one of these could be Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG DN Sports lens.
It seems that Sigma is going to release a series of fast wide-angle prime FE lenses for Sony full frame mirrorless cameras. Sigma has just filed lens patents for Sigma wide-angle FE lenses: 16mm f/2, 18mm f/1.8 & f/2, 20mm f/1.8, 24mm f/1.8, 28mm f/1.8, 34mm f/1.8.
