Yesterday, Sony just announced the release of the new IMX382 high-speed vision sensor, which enables detection and tracking of objects at 1,000 frames per second. Above is the video sample shows how this high-speed vision sensor works, it is really amazing.
At early this year, we first posted rumors about Sony will announce a 400mm super telephoto prime lens in 2017. Now according to SAR, a new super telephoto prime lens is rumored to be announced soon. This lens will be a 400mm prime lens, the aperture of this lens hasn’t yet confirmed, it will mostly like f/4, or even f/2.8.
Here is a quick video test of Sony Alpha a9 (Amazon/B&H Photo/Adorama)’s Eye-tracking “Eye AF”. From the test result, we can see that Sony a9’s Eye AF is very good, even better than Sony a7R II, see the a7R II’s Eye AF test below:
Here are more rumors on the upcoming Sony FE 135mm GM lens, according to recently rumors of SAR, the aperture of this lens is most likely f/1.8, and currently is in development, will be announced several months later.
